Here on the Eastern Shore we think of ground rent in terms of mobile homes or modular home developments. In Baltimore people are losing their homes because of an arcane system dating back to colonial times. I was aware of a similar system in the UK, but not here. Crablaw has an excellent post on an unusual legal subject.
