O’Malley - Glendening?

Martin O’Malley’s living wage bill may well become Maryland’s home grown version of the Davis-Bacon act. O’Malley - Glendening?

Maryland is already a closed shop state. What more does Big Labor want? The living wage bill is simply a ruse for unions to demand more at contract time. That would be great if the Bosses were simply concerned with increasing the living standard of their members. In reality, higher wages mean more dues money. More dues money means higher salaries for the Bosses. It also means more money flowing into the coffers of Dem politicians. More campaign contributions means the ability to demand more foolishness like the living wage bill.

When the only businesses left in Maryland are those that are vendors to the state and federal governments, where will we be?
